Once again American tennis fans are unable to watch a live semifinal. NBC, who buys exclusive rights to a match elected to show the Murray-Roddick match in its entirety starting at 12 noon, but at that time the match was well into the 3rd set. For tennis fans who are unable to keep themselves away from their computer, this is a terrible thing. There is little excitement in a match where you already know the score, and you are forced to watch the replay of the beginning when there is actual live tennis occurring.
As I mentioned in an earlier post U.S. tennis fans lost the right to purchase Wimbledon Live because of NBC and ESPN.
Now we are stuck to deal with Mary Carillo and taped tennis.
